Chennai: It was a night of joy for Kerala Blasters as they triumphed over their southern rivals Chennaiyin FC 3-1 at the Marina Arena in Chennai, on Thursday.

It was a historic win for KBFC, for it was their first ever win at the home of Chennaiyin since the inception of ISL, 11 years back.

But what was a perfect night left a sour note towards the very end when two KBFC players got involved in an on-field altercation.

In the 94th minute, deep into injury time, Noah found himself with a golden chance to shoot at goal with just two CFC defenders.

He also had two KBFC players waiting on the other end, one of them being skipper Adrian Luna.

Noah went for the shot and it went well above goal but Luna was extremely unhappy with Noah's choice and went straight towards him showing his displeasure.

The scene turned ugly when Luna and Noah started getting physical and had to be dragged away by one of the other KBFC players.

'All good,' head coach clarifies

When asked about it during the post-match press conference, interim KBFC head coach TG Purushothaman brushed the incident off.

"Things like that are natural in football. That is not an issue," he said, stating that the duo are fine and have sorted things out in the dressing room.

The victory leaves KBFC with 24 points from 19 games, and with five matches left, they are still in with a fighting chance to make it to the playoffs.
