ISL: Gerard Nus appointed as head coach of NorthEast United

Indian Super League (ISL) club NorthEast United have signed Gerard Nus as their head coach for the 2020-21 season.

The 25-year-old Spaniard, a UEFA Pro License holder, replaces Croatia's Robert Jarni as the coach who left the club in February following a series of poor results. Assistant coach Khalid Jamil acted as the temporary manager until the end of the season and will now return to his previous role.

Nus, a former member of Liverpool's backroom staff, had stints at Brighton and Melbourne Heart before becoming the assistant coach of the Ghana national team led by Avram Grant.
