ISL 2020-21: SC East Bengal vs Odisha FC - Preview, Predicted Lineups, Livestream details
Preview
It’s a double header on Sunday in the Indian Super League (ISL) and the first match features SC East Bengal host Odisha FC. In what is a bottom of the table clash, both the sides will be looking to get their first victory of the season following a tough opening month. It will also be interesting to see which of the two head coaches, Robbie Fowler and Stuart Baxter, goes the attacking route with the pressure for points firmly on them.

Although there’s not much to write home about in terms of either sides’ form, SC East Bengal can take solace from the fact that they have scored 5 goals in their last 3 games. On the other hand, scoring has been one of the main issues for Odisha with both their strikers, Manuel Onwu and Diego Mauricio struggling in front of goal. What should also tempt Fowler to go for all three points is the fact that the Kalinga Warriors have failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season.
Squad Overview
For the hosts, there have been a few changes behind the scenes with goalkeeper Subhasish Roy Chowdhury and defender Ankit Mukherjee set to join the club imminently. However, neither would be expected to feature in this game. Matti Steinmann was the hero in the previous match against Chennaiyin with a brace and Fowler would hope that others would also start chipping in with goals in order to relieve the burden from the likes of Maghoma and Pilkington.
A fit-again Daniel Fox should retain his spot alongside Sehnaj Singh and Scott Neville. Jeje looked to be slightly sharper as well after coming on in the second half and might get a look in. Haobam Tomba Singh and Bikash Jairu should also feature from the start.

Odisha would be looking forward to welcoming Marcelinho into the starting eleven. Manuel Onwu might drop out to the bench to make way for him. The rest of the squad pretty much picks itself with Steven Taylor, Jacob Tratt, Cole Alexander, Vinit Rai and Diego Mauricio forming the spine. Even so, their spirited comeback against NorthEast United should encourage Stuart Baxter to give them a little more freedom against another side that is low on confidence.
