ISL 2020-21: Hyderabad FC vs Jamshedpur FC – Match preview, TV channel, live stream & kick-off time
Preview
Manuel Marquez’s Hyderabad FC take on a beleaguered Jamshedpur FC side on Wednesday. The stakes will be high in what will be a battle for pride for Jamshedpur. The two teams have had a contrasting start to the Indian Super League (ISL) season this time around and will be looking for all three points.
Hyderabad drew against a strong Bengaluru FC side after winning their opening game 1-0 against Odisha FC and sit fourth on the table. Meanwhile, Owen Coyle’s men started off with a disappointing defeat against Chennaiyin FC, before giving away two points against Odisha FC in an exciting 2-2 draw. They had taken a 2-0 lead in that match through a brace from Nerijus Valskis but allowed their opponents to come back into the game in the second half.
What must be worrying Owen Coyle even more is that they haven’t won in their last 8 games in the ISL while Hyderabad haven’t lost in their last 4. On top of that, Jamshedpur haven’t won an away fixture in their last 7 such outings. They say like losing, winning is also a habit. And with the team sitting at 9th in the table, it is essential for Jamshedpur that they start collecting points if they want to avoid spiraling down even further.

Squad Overview
Jamshedpur will be depending a lot on Valskis again as well as Jackichand Singh to see the side through but their defence still remains a worry. Peter Hartley and Stephen Eze haven’t quite hit the ground running yet while Narender Gehlot has had problems with his fitness. They will also need more from the likes of Alex Lima and Issac Vanmalsawma in midfield and Laldinliana Renthlei in defence.
Owen Coyle also has to deal with TP Rehenesh’s suspension after he saw a red card in the game against Odisha FC. Aniket Jadhav is one player who looked lively after he came on in the second half in that game. It will be interesting to see if the 20-year-old gets a starting spot this time around. Striker David Grande and winger Nicholas Fitzgerald are the other options for Coyle.

For Manuel Marquez though, this match will provide another opportunity to use all of his attackers well and get them up to speed. We saw Joel Chianese start against Bengaluru FC while Aridane Santana has already gotten off the mark in terms of goals. Liston Colaco, Halicharan Narzary, Mohammed Yasir and Nikhil Poojary have all impressed in patches.
Young Chinglensana Singh also did well when called upon, helping his side keep a clean sheet against the Blues. Akash Mishra is another youngster who has impressed tremendously in the two matches so far. Where Hyderabad seem to be doing well though is in central midfield with Lluis Sastre and Joao Victor dictating play from there.
