SC East Bengal will be looking to make it two in two when they take on FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) tonight. The Red and Golds have 6 points from 8 games and a victory against the Gaurs can take them four points off top 4. Goa on the other hand are sitting snugly in the third position and will be looking to put further pressure on ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City.

The two sides have met just once before. That was in the 2018 Super Cup which East Bengal won by a goal which was scored by former striker Dudu. Juan Ferrando’s side have been defensively unstable throughout the season having conceded 10 goals in 9 games, many of them from lapses in concentration. After their 3-1 win against Odisha FC, Robbie Fowler will be hoping that his side can carry over the momentum and score early in this match as well.
Squad Overview
Raju Gaikwad and Bright Enobakhare and Raju Gaikwad made an immediate impact in the last match. The former’s long throw brought about the first goal while the latter himself scored the third coming off the bench. Bright should start this game though and he is most likely to replace Milan Singh who had a poor match in midfield last time out and gave the ball away often. That means one more attacking option for the fantasy enthusiasts. That also means Mohammed Rafique moving to his favoured attacking midfielder position with Jacques Maghoma and Anthony Pilkington either side of him.

FC Goa won their last two games with the help of a bit of luck. Although their defence has been a little shaky, their attack has sort of made up for it so far. In Igor Angulo, Brandon Fernandes and Jorge Ortiz they have one of the best trios in the ISL this season. Alexander Jesuraj has been extremely impressive too while Ishan Pandita came on as a substitute to score against Hyderabad, to great joy for all who included him in their fantasy eleven. He is likely to miss out on a starting position though, as Ferrando tries to achieve the right balance between attack and defence.
