Match 47 of the Indian Super League (ISL) sees Chennaiyin FC host Hyderabad FC at the GMC Stadium tonight. The Marina Machans come into the game undefeated in four, although they have won just one out of those matches. Hyderabad on the other hand need a victory badly after their recent slump in form has seen them lose three back-to-back matches.

Manuel Marquez’s Hyderabad side began the season extremely well with an undefeated run of five matches. However, recent results mean that the Nizams are currently eighth on the table with 9 points from 8 matches. What makes the match against Chennaiyin even trickier is the fact that they lost both their matches against them last season. It won’t be easy for Csaba Laszlo’s side either, as they try to register just their third win of the season owing largely to their profligacy in front of goal.

Squad Overview

Chennaiyin FC will be missing captain Rafael Crivellaro for this one after he was injured in the match against ATK Mohun Bagan. They will however be welcoming back Isma after a prolonged spell on the sidelines to accompany Lallianzuala Chhangte and Jakub Sylvestr in attack if he starts. Deepak Tangri should also come back after coming on from the bench in the last game while Crivellaro’s absence means Anirudh Thapa might play in a slightly more advanced position.

For the Nizams, the last few games have been extremely disappointing in the way that they have let their control over proceedings slip at a moment’s notice. Aridane Santana is back amongst goals which is sort of a silver lining. However, they will still be missing Liston Colaco and Nikhil Poojary who are out injured. Lluis Sastre made a substitute appearance last time out and should start this one while Joel Chianese should make his second straight starting appearance as well.
