Hyderabad FC defender Keenan Almeida joins Mumbai City FC on a loan for the rest of the ISL season, The Bridge could confirm.

The 28-year-old Goan stopper started his career with Salgaocar FC as he represented the Goan giants in both I-League and the Goa Premiere League. Keenan spent most of his career playing for Sporting Goa from where he was signed by Goa-based ISL franchise FC Goa in 2015. In 2017 he was loaned out and was a part of the Chennaiyin FC squad that won the 2017 Indian Super League. Kenan continued with Hyderabad FC (formerly Pune City FC) in the start of the season but failed to grab game time and thus opted for a loan move as he signed for the Mumbai side yesterday.

After Souvik Chakraborty's departure, there has been a void in the defensive roasters for Mumbai City FC and it seems Jorge Costa wish to fulfil the spot with the addition of Almeida. Mumbai City FC is currently at the fourth spot in the league table and with the new reinforcement in defence the City group owned ISL side hope to cement their spot for the playoffs.
