As the Indian Super League (ISL) season nears its end, the clubs have already started planning for the summer transfer window. The Bridge can confirm that Jamshedpur FC striker Farukh Choudhary is all set to join Mumbai City FC for the next season.

The 23 years old Indian forward made headlines quite frequently this season as he came up with a stellar show for the Red Miners. It is not quite often that an Indian forward makes into the scoresheets as frequently as Choudhary did this season of ISL. Choudhary also came out as a key and reliable man in the offence for Jamshedpur FC coach Antonio Iriondo this season. The Spanish coach has named him 15 times this season so far and the young lad has lived up to his coach's expectations as he scored four goals and assisted in as many for JFC.

A product of the Pune academy, Choudhary could be a vital player for the ISL clubs looking for offensive enforcement this summer. After spending three seasons at JFC, Choudhary has decided to move on and look for new opportunities.

The likes of Hyderabad FC, ATK and FC Goa have shown interest in the young forward but The Bridge understands that it is Mumbai City FC have finalised a deal with Choudhary. Currently, the Islanders are fourth on the league table and are likely to grab a playoffs spot for a second season running. But they have struggled in their offence, as they lacked a reliable target man. With this latest move, it now becomes clear that the City group owned ISL franchise has already started their job to build up a strong offensive unit for the next season.
