Indian youngsters lead the charge for Team of the Week for MatchWeek 13 in ISL.

The Indian Super League reached its halfway mark on Monday, completing thirteen match weeks with a seven-goal thriller in Hyderabad between host Hyderabad FC and Northeast United FC.

The ISL league table, currently led by Mohun Bagan SG, is tightly poised. There is only an 8-point gap between the top-ranked team and the eighth-ranked team.

With the league now entering the second phase, the fight for the title will get more intense and the level of competition will increase, which might provide a lot more iconic performances in the coming weeks.

Here is the team of the week for MatchWeek 13 of ISL:


Goalkeeper

Albino Gomes - Jamshedpur FC

Albino has put his name amongst one of the most decorated goalkeepers this season and currently holds the record of having the most number of saves (49) in the current season.

This week also he left his impact in the match against East Bengal, making five brilliant saves and keeping his team in the match, including three saves from close-range shots.

Defenders

Boris Singh - FC Goa

Boris Singh has left his mark this season, playing in the wing-back position, and is continuously improving his defensive skills by using his pace and winning most of the duels against the opposite wingers.

This week, he has the responsibility of stopping one of the most creative Indian wingers, Liston Colaco, and he did that pretty efficiently, winning five of the eight duels.

Hijazi Maher - East Bengal FC

The Jordanian center-back, Hijazi Maher has had a good week, scoring his first ISL goal and helping his side to win two back-to-back matches, including a clean-sheet victory against Jamshedpur FC.

His 46th-minute goal against Punjab FC, shifted the momentum for his side, resulting in what was one of the most remarkable comebacks of ISL and winning a match from a deficit of two goals at half-time.

Tiri - Mumbai City FC

Tiri is the most experienced foreign player in ISL and he showcased his experience in every match and leads the back line of his side, making a lot of blocks and tackles.

This week was no less as he helped his side maintain their fourth consecutive clean sheet by making three blocks and winning all nine of his duels against the forwards of Chennaiyin FC.

Nathan Rodrigues - Mumbai City FC

Nathan is one of the finds of the season, playing in his debut ISL season, he has quickly made himself a regular for Mumbai City, showcasing both his defensive and attacking skills.

This week he played a brilliant game against Chennaiyin's attacking front which have up and rising Indian players like Irfan Yadwad and Kiyan Nassiri.

Midfielders

Korou Singh - Kerala Blasters FC

The 18-year-old Korou Singh has left his mark in a very short period for Kerala Blasters as he has played only six games in the ISL this season but already has three assists to his name.

He had one of his assists this week in a game against Mohammedan SC, where he made a brilliant cross from outside the box, which was brilliantly headed in by Noah Sadoui.

Adrián Luna - Kerala Blasters FC

The Uruguayan midfielder has always been a star man for Kerala Blasters and always produced magical balls and crosses for his team-mate to turn the match out of nowhere.

He was struggling with the injury in the early weeks of this season but now he has slowly found his rhythm which he showed against Mohammedan SC, making an assist in the final minutes.

Brison Fernandes - FC Goa

The young Indian midfielder is showing some good attacking prowess this season for FC Goa, helping the side in producing his powerful attacks with his beautiful dribbles and crosses.

This week was a very special one for him as he scored a brace for the side in a very tough against table toppers Mohun Bagan, winning crucial three points in a home game.

PV Vishnu - East Bengal FC

The young winger from East Bengal has been one of the most consistent performers this season and has a key role in making a tremendous turnover for their side in the last five matches.

He always finds the best possible crosses and also possesses a good goal-scoring threat. This week he had a good game against Punjab FC where he scored a goal and also provided one assist.

Forwards

Guillermo Fernández - Northeast United FC

The Spanish forward of Northeast United had a brilliant game this week against Hyderabad FC, scoring a brace with two beautiful curling goals in the bottom corner.

He was the key man for Northeast United in their comeback from a 2-goal deficit and registered a massive victory in the away game.

David Lalhlansanga - East Bengal FC

The 23-year-old Indian striker, David Lalhlansanga, has shown excellent dribbling and ball-handling skills this week against Punjab FC in the home match, scoring his second goal of the season.

In the absence of their main striker Diamantakos, David utilizes his opportunity brilliantly by creating chances and troubling the opponents' defense with his off-the-ball runs.
