Fact Check: Did 15-year-old Indian footballer join Brighton academy?
Bengaluru FC clarified that their academy player Cyush Abhilash is not going anywhere after rumours him going to Brighton came in light.

Indian football Twitter went into a frenzy on Thursday when a tweet from a fan of Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion claimed that a 15-year-old Indian footballer is set to join the Brighton academy.
The update was tweeted by an Estonian fan of the PL club and it mentioned that 15-year-old Cyrus Abhilash from Bengaluru FC academy has impressed the Brighton Academy and can get a contract.
Suddenly the news started catching attention and India-based fan clubs of Brighton started posting it and creating a new rumour.
While in the start it looked like a brilliant morning for the Indian football community the fact that Brighton was just handed a six-month ban from registering any academy players made the rumour suspicious.
So, did the 15-year-old impress the Premier Club?
The answer is a big NO as his parent club Bengaluru FC cleared the air around the news.
In an official statement on the social media platform X, Bengaluru FC stated," While we're really proud of our Youth Development Programme and its success over the years, there is no merit in rumours surrounding BFC U15 Academy player Cyrus Abhilash's links with Brighton and Hove Albion."
"The club will continue to be the only official source of any such information regarding any of our players," the statement read further.
