The Islanders start their Durand Cup campaign defeating Indian Navy 4-1 courtesy a brace from Chhangte.

Mumbai City FC showed their quality and strength after falling back 1-0 down against the Indian Navy to win 4-1.
Chhangte scored a brace after coming off the bench. It was Vikram who opened the scoring in added time of the first half and Greg Stewart scored from the spot to ensure the lead for the Islanders.
Indian Navy took an unexpected lead in the first half when Adersh scored a screamer from the edge of the box. Indian Navy had a strong defence but eventually, they were breached multiple times by the quality of Mumbai City FC.
