ATK Fans Fraternity, the official fan club of three time and reigning Indian Super League (ISL) champions ATK FC, has pledged its support towards the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Staying true towards their social commitment, the fan club has decided to raise money to provide grocery items to 200 families across West Bengal.

"We, ATK Fans Fraternity, the recognised fan forum of ATK, the reigning champion of much coveted Indian Super League is pledged to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic to commemorate our 6th birthday towards our social commitment. In accordance to that, we have decided to provide food packets of grocery items of 1 week to 200 families and stand beside the downtrodden people who are struggling to make both ends meet particularly at this time," said Abir Saha, General Secretary, ATK Fans Fraternity.

The likes of Sumit Rathi, who won the ISL Emerging Player of the Year award, Lara Sharma, Deban Mondal (members of the ATK Reserves team), and other coaches and staff of ATK have come forward and donated to the cause.

The coronavirus pandemic has wrecked havoc across the world. The total number of positive cases in India has risen over 10,000 while the number of deaths is over 300. On Tuesday morning, PM Narendra Modi announced that the country-wide lockdown will be extended until May 3rd.
