BREAKING - ISL 2019-20: NorthEast part ways with coach Robert Jarni, Khalid Jamil takes over

NorthEast United FC confirms that The Club has parted ways with Head Coach Robert Jarni and his coaching staff through mutual agreement. The decision has been taken keeping in mind the best interests of the Club and our recent performances in the Hero ISL.

The Club is currently looking for a viable replacement to bring stability and sustainability to the

team.

Assistant Coach Khalid Jamil will take over as the interim coach for the time being before the club finds a suitable replacement.

Currently, the side is at the bottom of the league table as they have won only two games out of their fifteen engagements and it seems it is the devastating form that leads the club to take an early call of departure for their gaffer. The 51-year-old Croatian took charges of the highlanders in the start of the season as the later parted away with Eelcho Schatoorie instead of his success last season as the Dutch lead NEUFC to the playoffs for the first time in ISL history. But things have remained never the same as this season turned to be a disaster for the side as they continue to dwell in the bottom of the table.
