While the playoff matches for Indian Super League 2019-20 have already kickstarted, preparations for the next season seems to have started in the ATK camp. The Kolkata side is ready to sign FC Goa striker Manvir Singh for the coming 2020-21 season. The newly-formed ATK-Mohun Bagan club is keeping itself busy in composing the team for the upcoming season of the ISL.

Though there has been no official announcement yet from the ATK, The Bridge could confirm the news. It is being heard that ATK has signed a three-year contract with Manvir. The striker had a lacklustre season for Goa this time, scoring just two goals in the 18 appearances he made.

On Saturday, Chennaiyin FC dismantled FC Goa on its way to a 4-1 win in the first leg of playoff semifinal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Manvir Singh and Seminilen Doungel were the replacements for Brandon and Boumous in the line-up and they failed to make the desired impact. Manvir was making his first start in 12 matches, coming back on December 1, 2019, against Kerala Blasters.

FC Goa made history as they beat Jamshedpur FC 5-0 on 19th February to secure a place in the AFC Champions League (ACL); a result of their first place finish in the ISL league stage.

The Gaurs become the first team from India to make it through to the AFC Champions League group stage, making this a momentous occasion for all involved with the club.

In an earlier interaction with The Bridge, FC Goa manager Clifford Miranda had said, "We have to plan ahead for the Champions League after this season is over. We have a lot of things to decide in the coming months, not only signing new players, but also retaining the core of the side. We are already working on it."
