The Indian men's U17 team was up against the hosts Thailand in the final group match of AFC U17 Asian Qualifiers 2024 on Sunday.
Both teams were coming into the match with two straight wins in their first two matches and hence the winner of this match was about to qualify for the AFC U17 Asian Cup.

Half time: India 2-1 Thailand
The hosts started the match on a dominating fashion and created a lot of chances in the first 10 minutes
But then, India returned back in the game, looking better in the attack which led to the penalty as they forced Thai defender to make a dangerous tackle on loose ball in their penalty box.
Captain Mate converted the penalty to gave India the lead but it didn't last long as Thailand find the equaliser after a rebound from the upright.
Vishal Yadav however take Indian team back in lead with a powerful volley from the edge of the box.
