East Bengal FC was up against the Nejmeh SC of Lebanon in the final group stage match of the AFC Challenge League in Bhutan on Friday.

East Bengal won the match despite a sloppy start to the second half from their defense. With this, they have now topped the group A and qualified for the quarterfinal of the competition.
Nejmeh had a brilliant start to the second half curating a lot of good chances by Dominating the midfield but a lack of finishing touch hurt their chances and East Bengal found the winner after a penalty kick.
The Greek forward Diamantakos proved to be their main man once again scoring at least one goal in each of their group stage fixtures.
