Indian fencer Bhavani Devi bagged the bronze medal in the women's sabre category of the Tournoi Satellite fencing tournament Reykjavik, Iceland on Saturday.

After winning a silver medal in Ghent (Belgium) last week, Indian fencer Bhavani Devi bagged the bronze medal in the women's sabre category of the Tournoi Satellite fencing tournament Reykjavik, Iceland on Saturday. The 26-year-old Indian finished joint third alongside Hong Kong's Au Sin Ying, with two points.

There are other competitions lined up for the Indian fencer - World Cup, Grand Prix and satellite events - lined up until the end of March that will be considered for Olympic qualification. The top two players from the Asian zone in the World rankings will qualify for the 2020 Olympics to be held in Tokyo, Japan. The Indian fencer had reached the quarterfinals stage of a satellite tournament in Bulgaria . It was her first international competition of the season.
