Soul MortaL finishes third in the race for ‘Esports Mobile Player of the Year’

While the Indian gamers continue to wait for the return of PUBG to India, one of the most famous PUBG professional and a popular YouTube streamer – Naman Mathur aka SouL MortaL has finished third in the race for E-sports Mobile Player of the Year 2020 during the E-sports Awards 2020.
The award was announced through the official twitter handle of Esports awards on Saturday. The 24 year old Indian was nominated for the award alongside five other players from across the globe. While PUBG professional from Singapore – Zuxxy clinched the title, the Free Fire player from Brazil – Nobru took the second place.
The winners for the award were decided on the basis of votes from the fans in the official site of E-sports awards.
More importantly, this was not the first podium finish for MortaL in the E-sports awards 2020. He was ranked second in the Streamer of the Year category, earlier last week. The only streamer to pip the Indian in terms of votes in this category was the Spanish streamer, IBAI.
This recognition for MortaL comes at a time when the PUBG fans in the country are staring down at a barren road after the ban on the game in the country citing national security reasons.
