Garena Free Fire, one of the most downloaded Battle Royale games of 2020 went through a major update yesterday. The game was down for maintenance from 9:30am to around 5:30pm yesterday for the upgradation. Here, we bring to you everything you need to know about the new OB25 update of Free Fire:

The OB25 update, also known as the Operation Chrono update is themed on futuristic world hero called Chrono, who is said to be based on the footballing legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It’s a great feeling having not only a character in Free Fire modelled after me, but also having the whole universe within the game changing along with it. The Garena team has worked into the game tons of new features and elements for Operation Chrono. I hope Free Fire players all over the world are just as excited as I am,” Ronaldo had said.

The new OB25 comes with a new weapon called Vector Akimbo along with updates in the damage and recoil of fire buff of the assault rifle M4A1 and damage and rate of recoil for SMG P90. The advanced attachments will also be available as per the changes made to the guns for an enjoyable experience.

The update has the new Clash Squad season beginning on 8th December 2020 at 6:00am with an increase in matchmaking optimization. The OB25 update also has updated training grounds with a new concept of Bermuda shells being introduced which can be used Fireworks. The update also has dynamic lighting and a music arcade.

The update allows players to have two sets of HUD and a brand new rank mode interface for Battle Royale and Clash Squad. The feature of rotational display of utilities menu is also added.

The new update is available for both Android and Apple users and can be downloaded directly from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
