Olympian Fouaad Mirza wins gold in Poland
Fouaad earned a cash prize of 300 euros for winning the gold medal in Poland.

India’s Fouaad Mirza clinched a gold medal in Equestrian Eventing at the FEI CCI3*-S event held in Strzegom, Poland. Riding his horse, Dajara 4, Fouaad scored 30.1 to top the podium.
This victory marked a significant milestone in his career, especially after missing out on qualification for the Paris Olympics 2024.
Along with the gold medal, he earned a cash prize of 300 euros.
Hailing the performance of Fouaad, the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI) wrote, "A proud moment for the nation🇮🇳 as Fouaad Mirza stands tall on the podium, with the Indian National Anthem playing in the background, after clinching the top spot in the FEI CCI3*-S in Strzegom, Poland."
On the other hand, Germany’s Julia Krajewski claimed the silver medal and 225 euros for her second-place finish, while Malin Asai of Sweden bagged the bronze medal.
Fouaad, a two-time Asian Games silver medalist, won individual and team eventing silver at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, becoming the first Indian since 1982 to medal in an individual equestrian event at the Games.
He also competed in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Indian equestrian to compete at the Games since Imtiaz Anees in 2000.
