International cricketing action is finally coming back with the highly-anticipated India vs Australia series dates are coming close. Five of the six matches in the ODI and T20I series between Australia and India have been sold out after tickets went on sale on Friday. The second and third ODIs scheduled at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Manuka Oval are sold out with limited tickets to the first ODI on November 27 at the SCG remaining. The rivalry between the Australian and Indian men’s cricket teams is one of the greatest in international sport and this series is shaping up as an epic.

Punters can pick up bet on cricket matches tips online from expert tipsters covering cricket games worldwide. Cricket betting of course, requires skills with luck, but if you are determined to learn the ropes, and take on board the cricket betting tips to improve your performance, you could pull off some impressive wins. In the meanwhile, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur has pitched for legalising betting in India.

Thakur, a former BCCI President and a cricket buff, was speaking at the ICICI Securities - India Financial Conference 2020 on Thursday. Referring to suggestions from participants during the conference, he said betting is legal in Australia, England and elsewhere. The money these countries earn from this is, in turn, spent on sports.

The two finalists of the ongoing, inaugural World Test Championship (WTC) will now be decided by the ‘Percentage of Points earned’. ICC’s cricket committee headed by Anil Kumble has chosen this option for the first edition of a disrupted WTC. The ICC Board has approved the recommendations made by the cricket committee.

The new points formula has resulted in team India slipping to number 2 in the points table behind Australia.

As per the new standings, Australia have moved over India in the World Test Championship table. Australia have a points percentage of 0.822, while India with a points percentage of 0.75 have moved down to No. 2.

As per the original WTC format, the nine top-ranked sides were scheduled to play six series over two years with the top two making the final at Lord’s.

However, some of the games of the competition got postponed or cancelled owing to the pandemic and initially, there were reports which suggested that the ICC were planning to split points for those games, but it is now believed that the idea has been squashed, with the ‘percentage of points earned’ method taking precedence.

There was also a proposal among the ICC members to tweak the schedule and have two semi-finals and a final but it was rejected.
