India B registered a convincing win over India C in the final of the Under-23 T20 Challenger Trophy. Their win came on the back of Vrushali Bhagat and Shreyosi Aich's performance where leg-spinner Aich picked up three wickets, before Bhagat’s 41 set the tone for India B.

India B won the toss and chose to field first. Their decision became fruitful as Anjali Sarvani provided with the first breakthrough by dismissing Renuka Chaudhari for mere two in the second over. After that, Kajal Jena and Indrani Roy added a 30-run partnership for the second wicket, before Aich broke the partnership.

She cleaned up both the set batters - Kajal Jena (16) and Indrani Roy (15) and reduced India C to 35 for 3 after 10 overs. Later, the captain Prativa Rana and Sheetal Rana tried to build the partnership and added 29 runs. However, just when they set their eyes in, Prativa fell to the left-arm spinner Rashi Kanojiya for 17.

Sheetal continued her scoring and remained unbeaten on 29 off 30 balls. With Utkarsha Pawar's 13 off 14, India C posted 96 for 5 in their 20 overs. Aich was the pick of the bowler who finished with figures of 3 for 14.

While chasing, Vrushali Bhagat and N Anusha got off to flying start for India B, adding a 54-run partnership. While N Anusha stoically held the one end, Bhagat took the onus with her big shots. However, leg-spinner Prakashika Naik picked up the first wicket for India C by removing Anusha for 12 off 28.

The next over saw the dismissal of Tejal Hasabnis (4 off 3) and Vrushali Bhagat off the seamer Suman Gulia for 41 off 43 which left India B at 62 for 3 in the 13th over. However, it was Minnu Mani, who anchored the innings, remained unbeaten on 17, and took India B to the finish line in 18.4 overs and registered a win by five wickets. Suman Gulia finished with a figure of 3 for 17 for India C.

Brief Scores: India C: 96-5 in 20 overs (Sheetal Rana 29*; Shrayosi Aich 3/14) lost to India B 97-5 in 18.4 overs (Vrushali Bhagat 41; Suman Gulia 3-17) by five wickets.
