Indian women's cricket team captain Mithali Raj and bowler Jhulan Goswami have restricted themselves to 50-over format of cricket with a rare occurrence in the longest format.

Raj while talking to The Times of India, says, "For Jhulan and I who have limited ourselves to just one format, it's a little difficult as we have been out of action for a while." She further expressed that during the initial days of lockdown, she was a bit frustrated but then formed herself a schedule to follow. "It felt odd initially as I was not going to the ground at all. It took me a while to get used to the new lifestyle", India's 50-over captain said.

Jhulan, who was talking to the daily from her Dum Dum resident said, "The BCCI had scheduled the domestic T20 meets to prepare for T20 World Cup in Australia. So a delayed start for the one-day meets was on cards, but unfortunately the tournaments had to be cancelled. It was quite a set back because I was looking to play competitive cricket before our international engagement."

It is still not decided for India if they are through to the selected teams for the World Cup. The home series against Pakistan could not get forward and if ICC divides the points equally, then the Indian team will be through to the World Cup.

"In case that doesn't happen, we will have to play the qualifiers, which are likely to be rescheduled. The bilateral series against England too looks uncertain at this stage. Our preparations will take a hit, 37-year-old said.
