Coronavirus: IOA delegation to Tokyo deferred
The delegation along with government officials were scheduled to visit the Japan's capital on 25 March. But the visit has now been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
A delegation of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has temporarily put-off its visit to Tokyo, ANI has reported.
The delegation along with government officials were scheduled to visit the Japan's capital on 25 March. But the visit has now been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The visit was planned to review India's preparation for the Tokyo 2020 games.
Till date, 74 Indian athletes have booked their spot for the Olympic games. The sports from which Indian athletes have qualified are boxing, shooting, wrestling, archery, hockey and athletics.
The new date for the visit has not been finalized.
