The countdown to the 2026 Commonwealth Games is underway, with Glasgow preparing to welcome more than 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories from July 23 to August 2.
Twelve years after successfully hosting the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Scotland's largest city will once again take centre stage. Unlike previous editions, Glasgow 2026 has adopted a compact and sustainable model, with all competitions taking place across just four primary venues located within an eight-mile corridor.
From athletics and swimming to cycling, gymnastics, boxing and netball, every medal will be contested at one of these world-class facilities. Here's a complete guide to the venues hosting the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Scotstoun Stadium
Located in Glasgow's west end, Scotstoun Stadium will host athletics and para athletics competitions from July 27 to August 1.
The venue, part of the Scotstoun Sports Campus, features a recently upgraded world-class MONDO track, a 400m outdoor athletics track and a 100m indoor sprint facility. It has previously hosted squash and table tennis during Glasgow 2014 and synchronised swimming at the 2018 European Championships.
Athletics remains one of the marquee events of every Commonwealth Games, with 43 athletics and 16 para athletics medal events scheduled at the venue. The much-anticipated return of the historic mile race is also expected to be one of the highlights of the Games.

Tollcross International Swimming Centre
Swimming and para swimming events will take place at the renowned Tollcross International Swimming Centre between July 24 and July 29.
Opened in 1997, Tollcross has established itself as one of Europe's premier aquatic venues. It hosted swimming competitions during the 2014 Commonwealth Games and has also staged the World Para Swimming Championships and European Aquatics Championships.
The facility boasts a competition-standard 50m pool along with dedicated warm-up and training pools. With 56 medal events on offer, including 42 in swimming and 14 in para swimming, the venue is expected to witness some of the most intense competition of the Games.

Scottish Event Campus (SEC)
The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) will be the busiest venue cluster at Glasgow 2026, hosting six different sports across its three major facilities: The Hydro, SEC Armadillo and SEC Centre.
The Hydro
One of the UK's largest indoor arenas, The Hydro will host the netball competition throughout the Games.
The venue previously staged netball and gymnastics during Glasgow 2014 and is renowned for its electric atmosphere.
SEC Armadillo
The iconic Armadillo building will serve as the venue for weightlifting and para powerlifting.
Designed by Foster + Partners, it remains one of Glasgow's most recogniiable landmarks and also hosted weightlifting during the 2014 Games.
SEC Centre
The SEC Centre will accommodate 3x3 basketball, 3x3 wheelchair basketball, boxing, judo, bowls and para bowls.
The expansive facility, comprising five interconnected exhibition halls, previously hosted wrestling, boxing and judo at Glasgow 2014.
Collectively, the SEC will host more than half of the sports programme, making it the heartbeat of the Games.

Glasgow International Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome
Located in Dalmarnock in Glasgow's East End, the Glasgow International Arena and Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome will host artistic gymnastics, track cycling and para track cycling.
Named after Scottish cycling legend and six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, the venue was purpose-built for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and remains one of the world's leading indoor cycling facilities.
Artistic gymnastics competitions will be held from July 24 to July 28, while track cycling and para track cycling events are scheduled from July 30 to August 2.
The venue will stage 40 medal events across gymnastics and cycling disciplines, promising a showcase of speed, skill and technical excellence.
