Commonwealth Games 2022 Badminton Day 1 LIVE: India thrash Pakistan 5-0 in Mixed Team — Scores, Updates, Results, Blog
The Indian badminton team with PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth took on neighbours Pakistan in their first group stage match in the Mixed Team event and won 5-0.

The defending champions of the Mixed Team event, India, started their campaign against neighbouring nation Pakistan in the group stage.
With former World Champion and 2-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu and former World No. 1 Kidambi Srikanth at the helm, the Indian badminton packed in a solid performance and won all their 5 matches.

First up, it will be some Mixed Doubles action!
In Match 1 against Pakistan, it will be veteran doubles specialist Ashwini Ponnappa teaming up with B. Sumeeth Reddy.
Interestingly, Ashwini has won 5 medals from the CWG and is one of the most successful shuttlers here. Only Saina Nehwal has matched her record with 5 medals.
