The Indian badminton team failed to defend their title in the Mixed Team badminton event as they lost to a strong Malaysian side 3-1. The Indian badminton team won silver at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.
After Satwik-Chirag lost a crucial opening game, PV Sindhu won an important clash and Kidambi Srikanth lost a tense decider, the young pair of Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly failed to deliver in the pressure situation despite putting on a great show.
