Shooting Smit Singh has qualified for final after scoring 119/125 in qualification of the Men's Skeet event; he finishes at 6 and is the last-placed person to qualify.

India finished Day 4 on a high after the Indian Women's Table Tennis team won a Gold medal taking the tally to 12. Earlier, Manu Bhaker won the Gold in the Women's 10m Air pistol category while Punam Yadav finished on top in the Women's 69 kg weightlifting category. India will also have an eventful Day 5 at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games ahead with a lot of medal hopes! Shooters Jitu Rai and Om Prakash will be in action in the Men's 10m Air pistol event while Apurvi Candela and young Mehuli Ghosh will fight it out in the Women's 10m Air rifle category. Indian weightlifters are expected to win medals in their respective categories on Day 5. Indian paddlers will try hard to make it to the finals of the Men's team event when they take on Singapore in a last-four clash. Gnanasekaran Sathiyan and Achanta Sharath Kamal will have a tough task on their hands, but it is expected that the team will bag another medal for India. Youngster Srihari Nataraj will be in action inside the pool in the Men's 200m backstroke event while Virdhawal Khade will compete in the Men's 50m freestyle event. Although the chances of winning a medal in swimming will be an uphill task, yet a finishing in a respectable position can be expected.
Boxers Gaurav Solanki and Manish Kaushik have their respective bouts in the Men's 52 kg and Men's 60 kg category. Indian shuttlers will be hopeful of a Gold medal win in the Mixed Team event when they play in the final on Day 5 of the mega event. Plenty of Lawn Bowls action for India on Day 5 as India is scheduled to compete in the Women's pairs, Men's singles, Men's fours and Women's Triples. Tejaswin Shankar will participate in the high jump event while Hima Das and Poovamma Raju will race in the Women's 4000m event. L. Suriya will be in action in the Women's 10000m event. Currently, India is sitting at the fourth position in the medals tally with 12 in their kitty. India has so far collected 7 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal!
