Indian Chess sensation D Gukesh is in the headlines for becoming the youngest-ever Chess Champion in the world after he defeated Chinese Grandmaster Ding Liren.

The 18-year-old arrived in his home country the day before yesterday and was received with much fanfare and showbiz.

However, after his World Championship-winning feat, Gukesh took a detour and gave himself much-deserved adventure time before returning to India.

The prodigy visited Skypark Sentosa in Singapore, an adventure-themed park, and tried the bungee jumping activity there.

In a recent viral reel by Chessbase India, Gukesh can be seen getting prepared for his first-ever bungee jump. When asked how he was feeling, he quipped, "Scared."

When released from the height of 200 feet, Gukesh can be heard shouting, "I am the World Champion." in the video.

D Gukesh became the only second-ever Indian to claim the World Chess Champion title after legendary Viswanathan Anand.

Gukesh had a brilliant year overall as he first won the FIDE Candidates in March this year to book his berth in the World Chess Championship showdown against Ding Liren.

Later in September, Gukesh led the Indian men's team to a historic Chess Olympiad title and capped off the year with a World title defeating Liren 7.5-6.5 in a battle that went on for weeks.
