The only loss India suffered on the day was in the mixed doubles section where the world number 104 Saurabh Sharma-Anoushka Parikh went down to the World Number 11 from Malaysia. While PV Sindhu had an easy road to R16, Lakshya Sen, Satwik-Chirag and Kidambi Srikanth were forced to play out of their skins to reach the pre-quarters.
