After an exciting final, Neeraj Chopra (Silver) and Yashvir Singh (Bronze) made a historic first-ever double podium in men's javelin throw for India.
Meanwhile, Tejaswin Shankar bagged his first-ever Decathlon medal for India, winning a bronze medal despite struggling with an injury before the start of his event.
On the other hand, Asmita Dey (Women's 48Kg) and Harsh Singh (Men's 60Kg) became the first-ever Indian judokas to win a CWG gold medal. Yamini Mourya (57Kg) won the silver medal.
In addition, all ten Indian semi-finalists in boxing have won their bouts and will fight for Gold on Saturday.
Competition resumes on Saturday with action across bowls, boxing, cycling, judo and athletics. A total of 21 medal events are scheduled across multiple sports.
