Lovepreet Singh ends India's weightlifting campaign with yet another medal, winning a silver medal in men's +110Kg, while Seema Kaliramna added a Women's Discus bronze to end the day on a high.
Earlier in the day, Indian star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra began his campaign in the qualification round, finishing fifth with a best throw of 79.61m to qualify for the final. Rohit Yadav and Yashvir Singh also sealed their spots in the final.
In the men's triple jump, national record holder Praveen Chithravel and Selva Prabhu also booked their places in the final, while Vishal TK (400m) and Animesh Kujur (200m) bowed out in semi-finals.
Competition resumes on Friday with action across bowls, boxing, cycling, judo and athletics. A total of 10 medal events are scheduled across three sports.
