The track and field events continued to rake in medals for India at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, as the nation bagged three medals in Glasgow on Wednesday.
Murali Sreeshankar opened the tally on the day, winning the silver medal in men's long jump with a leap of 8.09m. Minutes later, Dilip Gavit and Mohammed Basil followed in men's 100m T47, completing a double podium for India.
Competition resumes on Thursday with action across bowls, cycling, weightlifting and athletics. A total of 7 medal events are scheduled across three sports.
Two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra will begin his campaign on July 30 in the men's javelin throw qualification round alongside Rohit Yadav and Yashvir Singh.
