The seventh edition of International Boxing tournament "Nations Cup" was organised by Jovica Panic and Vojvodina Boxing Association between 9 to 15th January 2018 in Sombor (Serbia). Indian junior and youth teams continued a dominating performance and claimed 11 gold medals in all and both the team championships trophies. Indian junior team bagged 13 medals in a total of which nine gold, two silver, and two bronze. While Indian youth team clinched three gold and one bronze in the category. Source: Hindustan Times In the youth category, Jony (60kg), Lalita (64kg) and Nandini (81kg) won gold medals. Rajbala (54kg) was the lone bronze-medallist. In the final, Jony beat Hungary's Viktoria Matesz while Lalita surpassed Russian Karina Kuzheleva. Third gold came to India through Nandini who came on top after a fierce fight with Poland's Alesandra Jonca. In 54 kg youth category Rajbala settled for bronze medal after losing to another Polish pugilist Kaluza Beata. In the junior category the gold-medallists were, Ekta Saroj (46kg), Baby Rozisana Chanu (52kg), Poonam (54kg), Arundhati Choudhary (60kg), Vinka (63kg), Mitika Gunele (66kg), Raj Sahiba (70kg), Sanamacha Chanu (75kg) and Komal (+80kg). Sanjeeta (48kg) and Lipakshi won the silver medals, while Arshi Khanam (50kg) and Yashi Sharma (57kg) settled for bronze medals.
