They came into this match needing a win, knowing a loss would result in their elimination but they have turned up superbly.
All through the match, they kept the Malaysians on the backfoot, and held their nerve at crucial junctions and have emerged as deserved winners.
Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan are now knocked out of the BWF World Tour Finals, and if India wins its last group stage game tomorrow, they will advance to the next round.
