India's rising teenager Tanvi Patri has clinched her first senior international title at the Pontianak International Challenge in Indonesia on Sunday.

The 15-year-old outclassed her South Korean opponent, Min Sun Kim, 21-5, 21-6, in just 32 minutes to claim a dominant win in the women's singles final.

The former Asian U15 champion has had some good results this year, having reached four finals on the Challenger circuit and now a title in Indonesia.

This year she had also reached the final of the Indian Nationals and fell just short to Surya Tamiri, missing out on a chance to become the youngest-ever National champion of India.

However, her talent has been widely regarded in the Indian badminton community, and even the veteran PV Sindhu had called her the future of Indian badminton in some of her social media posts.

On the other hand, India's Ginpaul Sonna finished as runner-up in the men's singles final, losing 22-24, 19-21 to home favourite Richie Richardo.
