Taipei Open 2025: Ayush Shetty, Unnati Hooda exit in the semi-final- Highlights

Two Indian shuttlers were in action at the semi-final for the 2025 Taipei Open Super 300 tournament at the Taipei Arena in Chinese Taipei on Saturday.
The youngsters, Ayush Shetty and Unnati Hooda, were in action in the men's and women's singles categories respectively, sighting their first final on the BWF World Tour Circuit this year.
However, they had a tough semi-final outing, playing against the top-seeded players in their respective matches, where Ayush was up against home favourite Chou Tien Chen and Unnati took on Tomoka Miyazaki of Japan.

The 17-year-old Unnati, playing in her first semi-final of the year on the BWF Circuit, will take on the rising youngster from Japan in this semi-final clash.
This will be the first meeting between the two players, and Unnati has a tough task against Tomoka, who is currently ranked 8th in the world rankings.
