The Supreme Court of India, on Tuesday, issued a stay order on the age fraud investigations against Lakshya Sen after the shuttler filed a special leave petition.
Special leave petition is an application filed in the highest court of India to quash a lower court's order.
The Karnataka High Court had, on Monday, permitted the continuation of proceedings against Lakshya, his parents, brother Chirag Sen, and coach Vimal Kumar.
As per a report in Livelaw, Lakshya approached the Supreme Court and a bench of Justices Sudhanshu Dhulia and K Vinod Chandran stayed the coercive steps.
