Shuttler Lakshya Sen through to the semi-final of Scottish Open
Rising badminton player Lakshya Sen continued his sterling form as he prevailed over Canada's sixth seed Brian Yang 21-12, 21-15 in an exciting quarter-final of the Scottish Open badminton held in Glasgow.
Yang, ranked 71 in the world, looked confident in the second game after losing the opener. However, his fancied opponent was in his element in the third game and sailed into the semi-final scheduled to be held later in the day. The quarter-final here was the first meeting between Yang and Sen in the international arena.
Having received the top seeding at the International Challenge tournament, Sen started off his campaign against Austria's World No. 98 Luka Wraber. Considering the fabulous win streak that the Prakash Padukone protege has built over the past few weeks, Sen looks primed to win yet another title.
