Satwik-Chirag stun World No. 1 juggernaut to reach Singapore Open final

India enjoyed a memorable day at the Singapore Open 2026 as the men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty stormed into the final with a stunning victory over the world No. 1 pair.
The Indian duo produced one of their finest performances of the season to defeat the top-ranked pair, who had not lost a match in 2026 before the semifinal clash. The defeat also ended their remarkable 34-match winning streak stretching back to last year.
The victory keeps India’s hopes of a title alive at one of the most prestigious tournaments on the BWF World Tour and marks another significant milestone in Satwik and Chirag’s comeback season.
Tanisha-Dhruv bow out after impressive run
India’s mixed doubles challenge, meanwhile, came to an end in the semifinals as Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila were beaten after an impressive run through the draw.
