Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh took to social networking platform Instagram to give a tribute to his father-in-law, former All England Champion, Prakash Padukone for creating history at London's Wembley arena.

He wrote a heartfelt letter to the badminton legend and said,"40 years ago on this day, #PrakashPadukone changed the fate of Badminton forever. He won the All England Championship in London's Wembley Arena, creating history for Indian sports. An unprecedented, landmark victory that shines everlastingly in the annals of time. #legend #icon #proud."

Even the shuttler's daughter and Bollywood star Deepika Padukone took to twitter to wish her father on this achievement.

One of the most iconic players of badminton, Padukone has is considered the reason to bring Indian badminton on a world map and till date is considered as the back bone of the Badminton circuit.
