PV Sindhu lashes out against allegations of rift with family, Gopichand
Earlier today, the reputed Times of India (TOI) had published an article claiming that star Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has travelled to United Kingdom (UK) after some tensions in her family.
Quoting a source the report claimed that Sindhu was unlikely to return anytime soon, and that she wants to be alone and not be controlled. The report added that the star shuttler has never travelled abroad without her parents and she is expected to be in the UK for at least eight to ten weeks.
Now, hours after these reports, Sindhu herself has come forward to rubbish these claims. She put out a social media post asking TOI not to spread ‘false news’ or face legal proceedings.

In her post, Sindhu said that she went to London a few days back to work on her nutrition and recovery needs with GSSI. The shuttler clarified that there have been no rifts in the family and that she went to London with the full consent of her parents.
According to a Press Trust of India (PTI) report, her father PV Ramana said, “Sindhu’s practice was not happening properly at the ongoing national camp.”
According to Ramana, his daughter was not provided with a proper partner to train with and she was fed up with the treatment she was given. He added that Sindhu has been in London for the past 10 days and that they didn’t go with her because they can’t stay with her for two months. Ramana also strongly refuted the claims made in the TOI report.
The PTI report quoted Pullela Gopichand saying, “She has gone for that Gatorade training academy, that is the information we have. I don’t want to respond to what her father has to say, if Sindhu says something, I will respond.”
In the social media post, the current world champion also revealed that neither did she have any issues with her coach Gopichand nor with the training facilities at the academy.
