On the second day of the Malaysia Masters Super 500, star shuttler PV Sindhu began her campaign with a straight-game win over Kirsty Gilmour. At the same time, Ashmita Chaliha and Kiran George won their first-round matches. In mixed doubles, B Sumeeth Reddy-N Sikki Reddy and in men's doubles Krishna Prasad Garga-Sai Pratheek won their matches.
