Indian shuttlers like PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth and Satwik-Chirag entered the quarterfinals while others bowed out at the Korea Open 2022.

Welcome to the live blog of The Bridge from the pre-quarterfinals day of the Korea Open 2022!
To begin the day, a major upset has already taken place with Lakshya Sen losing in straight sets, 22-20, 21-9 to Indonesian World No. 24 player Shesar Hiren Rhustavito quite surprisingly. The pair of Ashwini Ponnappa-Sumeeth Reddy also lost a three-set battle, 20-22, 21-18, 14-21.
On the other hand, youngster Malvika Bansod also couldn't stave off Thai sensation Pornpawee Chochuwong and lost, 21-8, 21-14.
In men's doubles, the pair of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila retired after playing for just 8 minutes against the Daddies from Indonesia - Hendra Setiawan and Mohammad Ahsan.
PV Sindhu made a dominant show against Japan's Aya Ohori and stormed into the quarterfinals, 21-15, 21-10 while Kidambi Srikanth also won, 21-18, 21-6 against Israel's Misha Zilberman to enter the last eight.
Finally, in another men's doubles, the third-seeded pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty also made it to the quarters defeating the Singaporean pair of Hee Yong Kai Terry and Loh Kean Hean, 21-15, 21-19.

Close, close miss from Lakshya Sen as the Indonesian switches things up in the last few points of the opening game and pockets it with crafty smashes, 22-20.

First up, we have Lakshya Sen taking on World No. 24 Shesar Hiren Rustavito!
Fresh off his silver medal wins at the German Open and the All England Open, Lakshya Sen suffered a mini-scare in the opening round of the Korea Open where he had to battle for 62 minutes against a local Korean hope to eventually earn his place in the second round.
Into the pre-quarters, Sen will now face Indonesian World No. 24 Shesar Hiren Rustavito next!
