Comfortable lead for Hoo-Cheah
The Malaysians have a comfortable 16-12 lead. This should be enough for them to close off the first game. Not a good sign for India.

11-9
The Malaysian pair somehow manages to open up a 2-point lead and goes into the mid-game interval with a slender 11-9 lead.
Kapila and Sikki have done well so far but need to ensure that they do not let Hoo and Cheah run away with this.

That was quick. Exactly 30 mins, and Sindhu has advanced to Round of 16 with a 21-12, 21-10 win over Turkey's Neslihan Yigit. Could not have asked for a better return to action from the star shuttler!
