In mixed doubles, the pairing of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde won their second consecutive title in two successive weeks.
Indian shuttlers registered a clean sweep at the CM Trophy India International Challenge 2024 in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on Sunday.
It was the Indian shuttlers' second successive clean sweep at the home international challenge-level tournament. Last week, they emerged victorious in all five categories at the Telangana International Challenge.
Rakshitha Sree Santosh Ramraj won the women's singles title at this event whereas the experienced Mithun Manjunath triumphed in the men's singles category.
On the other hand, the pairing of Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde clinched their second back-to-back title in the mixed doubles category after a three-game victory over the top-seeded pairing of Asith and Amrutha.
Arathi Sara Sunil and Varshini Viswanath Sri won the women's doubles title, whereas the top-seeded pairing of Hariharan Amsakarunan and Ruban Kumar clinched the men's doubles title.
Rakshitha bettered her last week's performance
The youngster Rakshitha reached her second consecutive final in Raipur after a runner-up finish at the Telangana International Challenge. This time she broke her final jinx and clinched the title with a tight three-game (17-21, 21-12, 21-12) win over the 13-year-old Tanvi Patri.
Tanvi, playing in her first senior international tournament has had an outstanding outing, making it to the final with an inspiring victory against last week's champion Isharani Baruah in the semi-final.
On the other hand, the second-seeded Mithun Manjunath clinched the men's singles title after his opponent Rahul Bharadwaj gave a walkover in the middle of the first game due to an injury.
