Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty suffered a heart-breaking first-round loss (17-21, 21-11, 17-21) to Muhammad Shohibul Fikri and Bagas Maulana at the China Open 2023 on Wednesday. The match lasted for 68 minutes.
Earlier, N. Sikki Reddy and Rohan Kapoor lost to Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei of Malaysia 15-21, 16-21 in their mixed doubles first-round match.
With these two pairs' exit, India's campaign at the China Open Super 1000 ended in the first round.
