Welcome to the very first day of badminton action from the much-awaited BWF World Championships 2022 being held in Tokyo, Japan!
In PV Sindhu's absence, all eyes will be on men - Lakshya Sen & Co. to deliver a medal for India from the Championships.
A lot of mouth-watering clashes are lined up for the day as Lakshya, Prannoy, Srikanth, and others will open their bid.

The Indian men's doubles duo of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy are up against the Japanese pair of Hiroki OKAMURA and Masayuki ONODERA.
Into the opening game, the Japanese have been racing off with their winners and they take the game, 21-11

Into Game 2, Malvika Bansod puts up a better fight
Malvika Bansod is playing much better in the second game and keeps close to Line Chirstophersen on the board at 10-11.

With PV Sindhu not there in women's singles, it will be up to Malvika Bansod, Saina Nehwal to try and pull off surprises here.
