They become the first Indian doubles pair to achieve the feat.

Indian shuttlers Bhagrav Ram Agreila and Viswa Tej Gobburu created history by becoming the first Indian doubles players to be ranked no.1 in the BWF World Junior Rankings.

With 15,075 points, the duo are joint no.1 in the latest rankings released by BWF, in what is a first for India.

The two have had a very good run of results in recent months, culminating in their rise in rankings.

In the Estonian International 2025, the pair finished as runners-up, kickstarting 2025 on a bright note.

They lost to Chua Yue Chern and Koon Fung Kelvin in the final, in a three-game thriller (16-21, 21-14, 11-21).

They won the India Junior International Grand Prix 2024, defeating fellow Indian doubles duo Bhavya Chhabra and Arsh Mohammad (21-13, 21-18).

Bhavya Chhabra and Arsh Mohammad also feature in the top 10 rankings in men's doubles, with the former ranked seventh and Arsh at ninth.

Bhagrav is also in the top 10 mixed doubles ranking, at fifth place with 13,365 points.

In the men's singles ranking, Sai Prasad and Rounak Chouhan occupy the sixth and seventh positions respectively.

As many as four Indians feature in the top 10 BWF World Junior Rankings in women's singles.

Tanvi Sharma leads the Indian pack, ranked at no.4, whereas Naishaa Kaur, Prakriti Bharath, and Anmol Kharb are ranked sixth, eighth, and ninth respectively.
