The latest tournament to get affected by the coronavirus is Singapore Open which was scheduled from 7 April to 12 April. The tournament is a super 500 event.

According to sources, it has been cancelled not because Singapore can't host it safely but simply because there are too many international travel restrictions in place for the participants to go to Singapore.

With the way things are going, even Tokyo Olympics doesn't seem to be on cards. The Olympics has been a question mark for many because of the concerns of mass gathering.

The cancellation of badminton tournaments has lead players to be concerned about the Olympic cancellation as well as the health risks. They fear of playing the in the event as well as not playing due to the risks that are involved.
